Thailand Hosts GMS Anti-Corruption Seminar

BANGKOK, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) hosted an anti-corruption seminar for member countries of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) in Bangkok on Wednesday, in which anti-graft personnel from five GMS member countries, including China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand participated.

Quoting NACC Chief Panthep Klanarongran as saying at the opening of the seminar, Thai News Agency reported the forum would provide a platform for each GMS member country to share experiences and knowledge on anti-corruption, which would, in turn, help create efficient officials in tackling corruption in each country.

Panthep acknowledged that in the near future, all GMS members would be more connected, thus prompting and promoting each to have improved measures against corruption would help achieve the goal.
