Indochina Passion Festival Promotes Tourism In Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia

PARIS, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- The Indochina Passion festival, a big-scale event, which was held here recently, aims to promote the image and tourism potential in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The festival, sponsored by the three countries' embassies in France, will also help tourists to explore the special cultural identities and rich potential of each nation, reports Vietnam news agency.

Director General of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Pham Ngoc Minh who officiated the event, said the Vietnam Airlines' membership in the global airline alliance SkyTeam now enables visitors to easily travel between Vietnam and the two other Indochinese countries.

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung described the festival as the first step to attract French visitors to Indochina, contributing to strengthening economic and investment cooperation between France and the three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The Lao and Cambodian Ambassadors to France also affirmed that the festival helps to boost the traditional solidarity, cooperation and friendship between the three countries and attract the attention of French economists, investors and businessmen.

Visitors too enjoyed watching traditional dances performed by artists from the three countries, enjoy culinary specialties and see a photography exhibition on the region's landscapes and lifestyles.
