Vietnam fishermen injured by bomb caught at sea

Two fishermen were hospitalized in the central province of Quang Binh after being injured by a bomb caught in their fishing net on Tuesday, local news website VnExpress reported.

According to the family members of Nguyen Van Ngoc and Pham Van Binh, both 39, they were fishing off coast in Dong Hoi town when they found a round, black bomb in their net.

Saigon Tiep Thi reported that they were fishing with two others. As Ngoc and Binh were removing the bomb it exploded, causing critical injuries to their legs, the families said.

They were rushed to the local Vietnam – Cuba hospital, where each of them had part of their legs amputated.
