Siem Reap Becomes a City of Romance on Valentine's Day

December 16, 2010 (FPRC) -- On 14th February 2011 hotels and restaurants across the historic city will be providing people with romantic meals and getaways to enable people to show just how much they love that special person in their lives.

Hotels are set to offer special packages on suites and spas with luxurious massages for two where couples will get the chance to be pampered. People can choose from many different types of massage from traditional Khmer to herbal steams or even one of the rejuvenating body scrubs.

After an hour or two of being indulged couples can then head for a candlelight dinner at one of the many restaurants spread over town. Visitors to the city staying in a cheap Siem Reap hotel can also choose to have dinner within the historic Angkor complex with fine dining available at beautiful locations around the moat of the temple.

As part of the menu for the evening couples can try a selection of local dishes as well as international cuisine which will be freshly cooked by some of the most respected chefs in the city.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: 'Siem Reap has many visitors that come for the history and culture. The events for Valentine’s Day will only add to the city’s popularity and cause places at hotels to be limited. It’s sensible for visitors to book online to get the best rates over this busy time.'
