22,000 rural labourers have new jobs

The Army Telecommunications Group (Viettel) announced on November 3 that it had created jobs for 22,000 rural labourers in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

This is due to its strategy to develop distribution outlets across the country. Viettel now has a total staff of 16,000-17,000, enjoying an average monthly income of VND1.7-1.8 million each.

They are employed to provide telecommunications services, collect call charges and take care of demanding customers.

Besides, Viettel covers their social insurance at a minimum salary level of VND730,000 per month for all staff members who meet its standards.

In Cambodia and Laos, the group focuses on sales and advertising, to create jobs for locals with an average monthly income of US$60-65 (4,000 in Cambodia and 2,000 in Laos).
