During his weekly television show today, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva promised to lift the state of emergency in more provinces during Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, citing the situation has returned to normal in many areas.

He also spoke about the Thai-Cambodian border conflict, affirming Thailand has not approved Cambodia's map of the area and the government is standing firm on the usage of the watershed as the boundary marker for the area.

He added that both sides have their population on the overlapping territory and said Thailand will not allow Cambodia to violate its sovereignty but at the same time, the Thai government will do everything in its power to prevent clashes with Cambodia.
