Vietnam-Cambodia border maker inaugurated

Border marker No. 241 at the Song Tien - Kaomsamno international border gate between the Vietnamese province of An Giang and Kandal province in Cambodia was officially inaugurated on June 9.
The border marker, which is made of granite, was built on an area of 3,600 sq.m.
Vuong Binh Thanh, Vice Chairman of An Giang provincial People’s Committee, said that 46 markers will be erected along the 97 km border between An Giang and the two Cambodian provinces of Kandal and Takeo.
Both parties have agreed on the locations of 15 markers on the An Giang-Takeo section, including the newly-inaugurated marker. Song Tien–Kaomsamno is one of the busiest border gates along the Vietnamese-Cambodian border and 65% of bilateral goods is transported through it every year. (VNA)
