Manroland sets up direct presence in Southeast Asia

1 September 2009

FULL STORY
Since July 2009, Manroland has set up a direct local presence on the Southeast Asian market. New regional headquarters have been established in Kuala Lumpur, including a network of sales and service offices spread over the entire region, for example in Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta.

Job van Hasselt has assumed overall responsibility for the Southeast Asian region and also acts as managing director of Manroland Malaysia. He commented, ‘In the new facilities, support and administrative functions for all regional companies will be combined under one single roof. This move allows us to establish a lean company that is carried by the sales locations in the region. Service to our customers will be improved through more rapid and efficient processes. This new structure makes it possible, in close consultation with my local colleagues Jeffrey Goh and Tim Klappe, to provide even better all-round service to customers and to equip them with all the advantages of our products and services as well as knowledge of the right processes.’

Besides printing systems, the Manroland portfolio includes a comprehensive range of services (Printservices, Printcom, Printnet, Printadvice). Manroland has a large installed base of sheetfed as well as commercial and newspaper web presses in the region. This geographic area includes Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
