AN GIANG — A ceremony to re-inter 345 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in battle in Cambodia was held at Doc Ba Dac Cemetery in Tinh Bien District in An Giang Province yesterday.

Only 14 sets of the remains have so far been identified.

Local authorities praised the sacrifice of the soldiers and extended sympathies to their families.
The remains were found by Team K93 of the provincial military command and Team K90 of Military Zone 9.

Since 2001, these teams have found and brought home more than 1,000 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia. — VNS
